Gravato palhete 2004

Passed many years, here is again the "Vinho da Męda", once so coveted in Oporto and its outskirts. This wine was subject to a great control due to the attempts of counter fact that finished appearing, and in a certain way finished with the image that the "Vinho da Męda" had.

With the decrease of the demand the Męda wine makers planted their vineyards with more profitable grapes as the Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca or Tinta Roriz which led to the disappearing of the "Vinho da Męda".

Nowadays few are the ones that remember the existence of the "Vinho da Męda" also known as "Palhete da Męda" or "Palheto da Męda", but the ones who still remember, they do it with a longing yearning the once so famous wine and they long for an opportunity to go into a journey in the path of the flavours of the past. The youngest who mostly are unaware of the existence of this particular wine thank the possibility that is given to them to prove a different wine. It is noticed, as soon as the cork goes off, the smell of wine cellar our senses and it's amazing colour shines in our eyes as if a true ruby if dealt with.

It is then about a fruity wine with notes of red fruits and spices. To the mouth it presents a great equilibrium with a very refreshing acidity, harmoniously conjugated with soft fast tannins and a great aromaticall persistence.

Taste at a temperature of 12ş. Loosen and fresh nose giving a unique touch. Intense in the feeling of brandy cherry wrapped in leather. In the mouth it's smooth and show it's aromatic expression, never leting go the character form the flavours. Smooth, long and original.
