The Red Gravato is a wine with a balance hardly found, its tannins, its alcohol and its acidity show to the mouth a strong palate but elegant as well which is adjusted to its great aromatical persistence.

There are people who stand that a certain state of mind is needed to drink a certain type of wine. The Red Gravato, by its homogeneity, by its bouquet it’s a wine easy to drink, the only moment of sadness it’s when we notice that the bottle is empty.

Here we go! The Red Gravato enters his first contest, the first contest of wines from Beira Interior. First contest, first medal. He won a golden medal which leaves a promising future ahead for this wine.

Completely opaque, with a very short dark ruby halo. Young bouquet, of medium intensity, showing black currants, violets, china ink, graphite. Super, but still very closed. Mouth of medium-low acidity, dense and structured with lots of body, colossal tannins, mature and well merged. Large quantity of fruit, berries blended with floral, soft vanilla, chocolate and beautiful mineral. Highly persistent ending, somehow one-dimensional, but great without any doubt. 17,5 points in revista BlueWine 01/2007
